Clinical Nutrition & Metabolism

We conduct multiple intervention studies in patients, mostly in hospitals, aiming at:

• Reduction of the loss of lean body mass seen in all patients with active inflammatory disease from cancer to septic shock.
• Unfortunate nutritional consequences of treatments such as cytostatic or dialysis.
• Acceleration of wound healing, both chronic and postoperative.
• Nutrition to support training in patients during rehabilitation.
• Clinical problems related to fluctuations in blood sugar/variability.
• Alleviation of sensoric problems during cytostatic treatment.
• Nutritional interventions in chronic kidney diseases.
• Prevention of the re-feeding syndrome.
• Organization of the nutritional services in hospitals.
