RESEARCH AREA
Lifestyle medicine

Besides diet, we are interested in understanding how other lifestyle factors, such as sleep and physical activity, but also multi-component lifestyle interventions (with dietary, physical activity, and behavioral components) affect various domains of health, including body weight, metabolism, and cognitive functioning.
- Does sleep extension improve dietary and physical activity habits in children and thereby their body weight status?
- How does sleeping more affect congitive function, brain anatomy, and academic performance in children?
- Are personalized lifestyle treatment approaches more effective than generic advice?
