RESEARCH GROUP
Sport and Society
The research group explores the societal role of sport in all its diversity (i.e. as exercise and physical activity, sport for all, and elite performances).
The research group critically investigates national and international issues and contemporary social problems related to sport.
Centered around and informed by sociology, and with the ambition to reach out to adjacent social scientific disciplines (e.g. political science, sport management, media and communication studies) the group embraces methodological pluralism.
In so doing, it engages practitioners, international academic research communities, as well students.
