My research focuses on how ageing affects the brain’s ability to learn fine-motor skills. I use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to study the functional and structural networks of the brain and their reconfigurations while learning to pinch with precision and control. I have experience in acquiring and analyzing a wide range of MRI data including functional and diffusion-weighted data as well as quantitative T1 maps.
In my previous research, I have investigated brain structural correlates of phonological proficiency and language learning aptitude. Moreover, I have contributed to methods development in MRI physics and data analysis. In 2020 I got my Ph.D. in Neurolinguistics from Lund University, Sweden.
