Leading with a Nimble Mind

Linda Page

Linda Page, PhD  from Princton University, M.A . in counseling psychology. President and Founder of the Adler School of Professional Studies in Toronto, Canada. With David Rock, Dr.Page co-authored Coaching with the Brain in Mind: Foundations for Practice (Wiley, June 2009).

Leadership requires moving decisively at one time but holding off to gather more information at another. It requires letting others step forward but also moving out when no one else will. What is the key capacity that enables leaders to know when to listen and when to speak? How to be strong without overpowering? And whether to break new ground or reaffirm the existing approach? Based on discoveries from neuroscience, Dr. Page will describe the characteristics and advantages of a nimble mind and discuss ways to achieve it.
