PhD defence: Cardiometabolic risk factors and cardiac health in pre- and postmenopausal women

Jon Egelund

PhD thesis

Menopause changes the hormonal milieu drastically. To what extent these changes alter cardiometabolic risk factors and cardiac adaptations to aerobic training is still not entirely clear.

In this thesis, these aspects were addressed in a large exercise training intervention study involving late pre- and recently postmenopausal women.
