PhD defence: The other side of the coin - is underweight a health problem among young and adolescent children in Denmark?

Anne Vedelsdal Aurup
About the thesis
The aim of this thesis was to examine whether underweight among young and adolescent children in a high-income setting like Denmark constitutes a health problem.
Data were triangulated from three Danish data sources: the nationally representative register the Children's Database, the largescale Danish National Birth Cohort (DNBC) and the well-characterized OPUS School Meal Study.
The Children's Database provided objectively measured height and weight from the nationwide mandatory child health examinations.
